Grant a Clark Wish

Our Wish List reflects items that staff members believe would enhance life for our residents or expand the benefits of previous gifts. The following wish list is for our dementia residents in Oxford Manor at Clark on Keller Lake. If you can help make these wishes come true, please contact Joanna Hogan at the Foundation office, 616.452.1568 x 120.

Karaoke Machine

Because yesterday's music is stored in the long-term memory, lyrics and melodies can remain in tact for a long time. A karaoke machine would provide hours of fun for residents and their families, enabling them to engage with each other as they reminisce through favorite songs.

Entertainment Center

Residents love to watch old movies and television shows that take them back to days gone by. A flat screen TV with DVD/CD player would provide a wonderful source of entertainment for our residents. Staff could also select television programs that help residents stay connected with current events or favorite topics.

Art Work

There are multiple studies that catalogue the benefit of art for people with dementia. Art can serve as a vehicle for way finding. It also provides intellectual stimulation and pure aesthetic enjoyment. We would like to purchase art work for the hallways and sitting rooms, so that our residents have beautiful vistas indoors as well as outdoors.
