Lifetime Services

Despite your best efforts, illnesses and accidents happen when you least expect them. While living in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) can’t stop them from occurring, it does make it easier to deal with them. For example, when a Clark resident is admitted to the hospital, our community nurse liaison visits daily and works with hospital personnel to coordinate the return to Clark. If additional services or a rehabilitation stay in The Keller Center are needed, the staff at Clark makes the preparations.

One of our most distinctive benefits is the Clark Commitment. When you move to Clark, we pledge to care for you for the rest of your life. If longevity or care needs deplete your resources, you continue to receive the same excellent care no matter where you are living at Clark. This lifetime commitment provides peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

The Clark Commitment

The financial realities of the Clark Commitment are significant. Currently, more than 60 residents receive annual support from the Benevolent Care fund at a cost of more than $1.1 million dollars. These residents are people who planned well for their retirement, but unexpected health care requirements and longevity have exhausted their assets.

Not all organizations have benevolent care programs. Some that do require residents to be at a specific living level before they are eligible for the assistance. Clark pledges that benevolent care is available at any stage of the continuum.

It is the charge of the Clark Foundation to raise money for the Benevolent Care Fund. Residents and staff contribute during annual campaigns, and members of the general public are also gracious with their gifts.
